Mininoki

Mininoki is an iPad educational and interactive app for kids. The game has several different kinds of puzzles and games. The games are a rotate puzzle, a simon game, a dress up game, a memory match game, and a xylophone game. Each game is targeted to a different interest of a kid. For example, one kid might like the simon type game, while another might be intrigued by the memory match game. It all depends on the user.
The graphics of Mininoki are above average. They are colorful and have lot's of detail. The game really targets the kid market, and it's easy to tell that the game is designed for kids. The games themselves are creative and appear as you would expect. Each mini game has a great deal of graphical work and superb design. All in all, the design is likely the best part of the game.
Here is where the game is a little lacking. To our knowledge, there is no instructions available, so figuring out how to play the games is a challenge. We could only actually play a few games because of the lack of an instructions system. If this was implemented, it would make the game much better for kids. We played one of the mini games in the app, and we had no idea what to do. The good news is that the developer is working on a fix as we write this.
In total, the game is what you would expect a standard app to be. It has a great design, but is lacking in a few key features. If the developer were to fix these things, it's rating would surely go up. Rating - 3 Stars
